OURLIVES COLLECTIVE A small conversation, on your own terms OurLives is an emerging collective exploring community-centred storytelling and decisions with, not for. This is a guide for your own conversations. It is not a submission form, and nothing is sent to OurLives. BEFORE YOU BEGIN Invite one or a few people you trust. Explain why you would like to talk. Make it clear that anyone can listen, skip a question or stop. Agree together on what would make the conversation comfortable and culturally respectful. Don't record or take notes unless everyone involved has agreed to that specific use. THREE QUESTIONS TO EXPLORE 1. What do you wish people making decisions understood about everyday life in your community? 2. What would help people feel heard, respected and able to influence what happens next? 3. What would make OurLives useful and trustworthy to you? What should it avoid? CLOSE WITH CARE Ask whether anything has been misunderstood. Leave room for different views. Agree whether there is any next step, and who wants to be involved. No next step is also a valid choice. STORIES STAY ON PEOPLE'S TERMS Permission to talk is not permission to publish, pass a story on or use it in a proposal. Ask separately before any new use. Don't include someone else's personal details. Respect local cultural protocols and people's boundaries. WHAT COMES NEXT Direct sign-ups and story collection are not open yet. Keep any reflections privately, or discuss them only in the way the people involved have agreed. OurVoice and VoxRoot are concepts in development, not services currently available through this site. Our lives. Our stories. Our say.
